I live in a quiet residential area, a couple blocks away from a major road. Now my neighbors are mostly hard working people. Most of them. At least it appears that way. I see them leave in the morning and come back at night.

My new neighbor is a black couple. I don’t hate them because I’m a racist or anything. I hate them for their actions. They’re carefree attitude, like they’re the only ones on the street, like they’re the only 2 souls in the world with 2 functional ears.

All I’ve ever seen them doing is working on some car. Carrying speakers in and out of the house. Music blaring at 8am to like 11pm. I’ve gone over and asked them to quiet down and got “get off my property white boy”, “you’re only doing this because we’re black”, “if we were white, you wouldn’t do this”

Now I’m not the first person to ask them to tone the all day music marathon down. I’ve called the police and asked them about it. All they can say is to keep calling the police enough and they’ll handle it. The police’s version of handling it is, showing up. Talking to them, the music gets turned off for 10 mins, and the police leave, and the music comes back on.

I’ve googled around and found the person who owns the house. I called, it went to a number and I left a message, but no response. The owner probably doesn’t care. The house sat for like 2 years for sale. No one bought it. Then it became a rental. This is the first person to occupy the house in a while.

What can be done to get the music to stop, LEGALLY? They don’t care about anyone on the street. The police take about 2 hours to come to get them to turn it off for 10 mins. Nothing works. Neither person living there has a job. They never leave for too long. The music is whatever horrible ass rap music they listen too. It’s like the guy’s job is to install speakers in his driveway, and the woman is there to help him with his speakers.

It’s trunk rattling, rap music 7 days a week. No break for it, unless they go to the grocery store. What are my choices? I’d love for them to move the fuck out. Although that isn’t going to happen.

Help, before I fake an eviction notice and tape it to the door.

Keep calling the cops. Ask the neighbors to be cited for disturbing the peace. Talk to the police when they show up. But just keep calling.

Find out if your other neighbors will help in the effort if they are annoyed as well. The police will likely act faster if the neighborhood calls rather than one apparent malcontent.

Trying to let the cops do their thing. Although ive already started documenting.

Just film it at different times, day, night, whenever.

I just wish the rental owner found some better tenants than rap music all day people. My mortgage is 850 a month, they’re rent is 450. At least if the old rental ad is true. If it was me, id have done rent at like 700 or so to attempt to draw a higher end renter in.

The only rational thing to do is to continue calling the police. Eventually, they’ll get tired of having to respond to endless noise complaints and will ticket your neighbors (assuming they’re violating some kind of noise ordinance or some other law).

Doing anything more than what you’ve already done is going to risk escalating the situation, which I doubt anyone wants. It’s a shit situation to get an inconsiderate neighbor, hopefully you can get it worked out.

Maybe you can organize a bunch of your other neighbors to talk to these folks? Perhaps if they see that they’re pissing everyone off and not just you, they might be more willing to compromise.

If the police don’t handle it you can file a nuisance tort and the court will give them an injuction. If they violate that you can get a payout.

But easiest is look up the noise ordinance and just call the non-emergency police number every single time they violate it. Eventually they’ll get tired of coming out and start citing them at which point they’ll move.

If that is the case that rent is half, the homeowner is going to be in for a hell of a surprise when they get their rental property back.

I’ve no idea how it works in America, but where I live you could sue them for producing unreasonable amounts of noise pollution and actually get a court order forbidding them from blasting music all day long.

I remember seeing somewhere that a guy with a similar problem to you made a speaker setup of his own. Then he got a directional microphone and used it to input the sounds coming from the neighbor and play them back at a slightly different time or frequency. The distortion drove the neighbors nuts, and the problem eventually went away.

If you are really creative, you could design an infrasound generator and aim it towards their bedroom. Infrasound in inaudible, but it has been known to cause hallucinations, feeling of dread or being watched, and the sensation of terror. It has been the cause of numerous “hauntings”. So fix something like that up then start throwing around rumors of previous tenants being murdered. Problem should solve itself.

There’s a chance the owner became desperate and applied for section 8 tenants.

An owner on my street did that for a while, and rented to four of five families over 10 years or so. Most of them were normal folks - one of them were a pain in the ass. Loud, 10 people living in the house, they never cut the grass, etc.. It wasn’t as bad as yours, but they eventually moved out.

The police arent doing much because the last thing they want to do is get a civil rights suit. Its all white cops, in a mostly white suburb. The only black people here are either respectable hard workimg people or trash that bring the hood with them where they go.

This is the latter. My street hass a mostly white, and a couple asian people living on it. This people moved in and went right to all day rap. Door open all day, letting theyre dog do whatever it wants.

I believe theres white trash and black trash. Every race has its own subset that just makes the rest look bad. These are that subset. I wouldnt care if it was an occasional thing, but its not. Its all day.

I play music while im working, sure its loud. Its here and there. Not all day.

I think im going to try the park my work truck at home thing to see how they like its obnoxious diesel.

The other neighbors just dont like its length. Lets see how they like it blocking theyre driveway.

Get with the neighbors, find a local lawyer that takes nuisance cases and file before escalating in person. It’ll cost next to nothing for a slam dunk case where you have multiple parties participating and documentation.

The only option left is to band together with your neighbors and form a cult and perform satanic rituals in front of the house, bonus points if you come up with activities to get all the kids involved too. If they want to be neighbors from hell show them what hell really is. Blare Kpop, deathmetal, pick an annoying track and repeat, or hell, a single continous tone will drive anyone crazy.

Go online and sign them up for every single bit of junk mail, solicitation, gay porn publications, etc etc. Purchase a burner phone, and schedule them for random repairs, inspections, vinyl sidings, estimates, exterminators, religous inquirys, weirdo Craigslist ads, make an ad that says “stolen speakers for sale”, ...be creative.

I always advise to take the legal road first. But that will only get you so far sometimes.

I bet your police have an anonymous tip line. Use a blocked or public phone and report drug activity at that house. Had neighbors like this once, time and time again of calling the police did nothing foe noise. Dropped a few anonymous tips of drugs activity (see selling, buying, smelling marijuana, ect..) and finally they just happen to show up with a warrant one of the subsequent noise calls. Oh they didnt find much, a gram of coke and an ounce or two of pot (probably personal use) but they got arrested all the same. They didnt move but they sure as hell keep quiet after that.

Now im not implying the sell or do drugs because black, you brought the race into this, but based on behavoir i bet they sure as hell got something and the cops would love a reason to shut them down at this point I guarantee it.

I had some neighbors like this once... Extra shitty college kids that partied every fucking night in the yard right below my window... And I mean EVERY fucking night... Tuesday night, 3 am, “Whoooooooooo! Fuck Yeah! I’m Waasaysted! Whoooo!”

I’d go down and plead for them to chill.. They’d be mellow for 5-10 min... But drunkards being drunkards, the noise would raise a few decibels bit by bit.. and within minutes they’d be right back yelling and hooting... Assholes. And this was repeated every night. I feel your pain man...

I even knew the landlord, told him what was up...pleaded with him.. He didn’t care. Their parents were paying the rent..

I’ve always been an early riser, so I started to just go to their front door at 6 am and BEAT on it till they woke up and answered it. “Sucks to get woken up, huh fuckers?!”

If I was in your situation, I’d set up some (throw-away) speakers outside with some bs music on repeat all day while you’re at work. But have a hidden camera watching them. They’ll figure out nobody is home and they’ll come fuck with the speakers. With video of them coming onto your property and molesting your stuff- that would prob get the cops attention...

I feel for ya.. living in a trailer park I get this shit all the time. Might be Hispanic music might be rap or whatever they call that noise nowdays but it’s annoying as FUCK when the bum, bum budda bump in my house is as loud as the game or video I’m trying to do. For what it is worth noise cancelling headphones work well if it’s in the moderately to mildly annoying level but I shouldn’t need that inside my own house.

I think i solved my problem, accidently.

I have a small flag pole in my yard. Normally displays the American flag and the Gadsen flag.

Well I took them both down, to fly a rebel flag as a joke. Yeah theminute the rap all day people noticed, they said i was racist. I told them that im only racist to my neighbors who blare rap 24/7.

They’ve stopped are said they wont to move because of that flag. Its currently flying high in my yard. Cuz its stopped the music.

It also helps if you clean your weapons in your underwear in the back yard. Like whitey tighteys, not boxers.

I took the crazy neighbor route. It worked.

My wonderful neighbors arent nice, have never introduced themselves. Matter of fact, prior to yesterday the only thing theyve said to me is “can you move your car so we can park the moving truck thete” and “the music isnt that loud, get off my property white boy”.

So as you can tell my neighbors have been the best neighbors ever. Theyre friends park in my driveway lile its theres, regular stream of people in and out all day who think the street belongs to them. Every time you ask them to help, its do it on your own whitey.

So after trying tye civil and correct approach, i went to the way ive been treated by them. I guess if i was a true racist, all my friends would be american history x looking people. Not regular people, whove most have been in the military at one point.

THe neighbors have been an asshole to the entire strwet. And as a entire street we choose not to like the neighbors based off their actions. They want to treat everyone like shit, they’ll be treated as such.

Im tired of dealing with ignorant ass people. So until they begin to act neighborly that so called racist flag will fly.

When i was told it was racist by my neighbor, i asked him why. He said and i DIRECTLY quote “ Because news man said so”

News man said so? I suppose thats the new superman huh. Who fights racism from your tv while telling you the same stories as the newspaper.

So if your reasoning for this flag being racist is deemed similar to news man said so, you can avoid this problem because you have zero clue what its like to be forced to listen to trunk rattle, n word this, n word that, bitches hoes and bling all day, everyday.

If my flag is racist, so is his music that says violence is cool, guns, drugs and the dope boy lifestyle while getting govt benefits is alsp racist.

At this point as a street we are preparing legal action to hopefully remove the problem off our street.

We took this route as a neighborhood because were not racist, we moved into a nice area, with a low crime rate. I bought a house to enjoy some peace and quiet. Not all day rap, not disrespectful neighbors who have yet to look beyond skin color.

I feel like I need to chime in here. A few years ago a forum member on an audio related forum I’m a member of had a similar situation. He had tried everything that you are doing and decided to do a little “loudness war” retaliation. We never got an update on the situation and a few weeks later another forum member posted a link to the newspaper write up of this man’s murder. Don’t escalate this situation. You have no idea how much crazy you may be getting into. Keep anonymously calling the police. Don’t give the other party a target for their (warranted or not) retribution. I know this situation sucks but an outcome that leaves you dead is not a good one.

Im fine. Ive got 24 hour indoor outdoor security, in my garage also. It records off site at my business to also help.

Theyve mostly stayed on theirside of the fence. Theyve only came to my door a few times. I hope they take their rap back to wherever they end up.

Exactly. I moved into this house after my grandparents died. This was there house, and ive since taken out a mortgage to make some changes.

I chose tolive in a nice neighborhood to get away from exactlywhat is happening now.

He chose to never give us a chance, we’ve given him multiple chances. So we as a neighborhood didnt come off racist. Hes racist to us, but chose to move into an area that has mostly newer model cars, taken care of lawns and Houses in decent shape.

I do agree hes been racist, but most of my neighbors, like 90% are white. So we’re trying to do everything we can without appearing likewe just want the black guy out of the area.

Yea its sad its come to this. But being white and wanting the problem person out and that guy being black.

So we are treading lightly, because hes racist and were just wanting the noise to stop.
